Our recovery time.
We are at the Madfor hotel on the western side of Madrid. It is hot and dry, but daylight til 9.30.

Seems a pretty relaxed city. Maybe because it summer holiday time.

Had a good walk around and soaked up the character of the city with all its great buildings and restaurants.

This was our first sighting of a Camino Waymarker. This is part of Camino Madrid which winds its way north to Santiago de Compostela.

We, on the other hand plan to do parts of the Camino del Norte and the Camino Primitivo. Much farther north on the coast and through the mountains.

Planning to take a train to Santander tomorrow which should take about 4 hours.
